its so lovely that you have dedicatd 2 vids to me. AND the fact that you've ditched dreamzap
EDIT: Just from looking at the video title i already know what your gunna say. And yes, their opinion does matter. Why? Because they are teh majority.
If you know anything about business, to make the most money, you gotta appeal to the majority. The bands that are mainstream, whether they suck or not, always make the most money becuase they reach to the bigger audiance. Gaming is a whole nother story. Gaming companys need money to make games (duh). If they put there game out to only harcore fans that casual f**ks wont want, its not going to sell good, at all.
Ive explained this before and I still dont get why you dont get this. Unless you want to make no money, then listening to what casual gamers want is the way to go, whether we like it or not
You spent too much time bitching about the finacial side of gaming. By your logic, the same s**t would apply to the music industry as well, which means the pre pubescent Jonas Brothers fans are appealing to the crowd that "matters most" when it comes to music. Jonas Bros fans wouldnt know what good music is even if it bit them in their white pasty asses. Sorry pal, but I'm thinkin from a gamers point of view, not a salesman. Sellouts are sad f**ks.
With the music thing: Well yeah, do you have any idea how many little girls there are out there? Its a target audiance thats easy to get money from. Get a pretty face, make them lip sync to some old hag that can sing good, and there you go, you've made over a million bucks, easy.
You must hate the whole gaming industry, no wait, you must hate EVERY business if you dont like sellouts. Let me as you this, if you make a company, what do you want to do? Make as much money as possible. Now, you have crowd A adn crowd B. Crowd A is the crowd that you get along with more and they LOVE sour candy (just using candy as an example). Now, crowd B you dispise, BUT, they have a LOT more people in that crowd, doubling yours, and they like easy to make sweet candys. Which crowd are you going to target to make candy for. If you picked crowd A, good luck being bankrupt after you loose all your money lol
I would explain further, but ive already said enough. The casual gamers opinion does matter, its what the gaming companys listen to.
